Kin Cup

Come participate in the Kin Cup this Thursday, March 29th from 5:30-7:30pm in the SFU Central Gym, East Side. We’ll be playing basketball, dodgeball, and soccer against the faculty, staff, and grads!

BPK Events!!!

Hey all, in the next couple of weeks there’s some pretty cool events happening in BPK.

Trivia Night 

  • Friday, March 23rd at WINGS restaurant (345 North Rd), starts at 5pm
  • trivia in 3 different categories
  • free wings & drinks

Kin Cup

  • no previous sports experience is necessary; just come out to have fun! (and of course let’s beat the faculty/grads this year)

Year End Party

  • Monday, April 23rd at 6:30pm at Club Ilia
  • tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the BPK General Office (K9625)

University of Sydney Info Session

On March 7th at 12pm in SSB 7109 OzTREKK will be hosting the Dean of Health Sciences and faculty guests from the University of Sydney. If you would like to learn more about studying programs such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology and nursing in Australia this will be an event to attend!

During the information session, you will hear from the Dean about: competitive admission requirements for Canadian students, program structure, financing your degree, and the process of returning to practice in Canada after completing your degree. In attendance will also be a University of Sydney Physiotherapy graduate – Audrey Wong. Audrey graduated from the University of Sydney in 2016 and is currently practicing as a Physiotherapist in Vancouver. Audrey will talk about her experience of studying in Australia and the process of returning to practice in Canada. You will have the opportunity to ask any questions you have to Audrey about her decision to study in Australia.

This will be a catered event with free food for all attendees. Students are welcome to invite their family to the event. Please RSVP HERE.

BPK Rock Climbing Social

Join us for rock climbing on Wednesday, February 7th from 1-3pm at the SFU Rock Climbing Central Gym. Discounted cost is $5 and includes equipment rental.

Careers in BPK

Register HERE for the Careers in BPK event!

When and Where: January 24th from 4-8pm in Saywell Atrium
Cost: $4 and we’ll collect payment at check-in
What does it include: exhibitor fair, dinner, 2 speaker sessions, and prizes. There will be over 20 professional schools, companies, and organizations at the exhibitor fair. In the speaker sessions, you’ll learn about physiotherapy, medicine, research, and disability management from SFU alumni.
Who can come: You, your friends, anyone! There is no maximum limit of people for the main event.

If you would like to attend the lab tours 3-4pm (before the main event), you may register HERE. Note that the lab tour part is free and there are limited spots.

Clothing Pick-up

After some delays, the clothing orders have almost arrived. We’ll be at the AQ tables December 12th through 14th from 11:30am-3:30pm for clothing pick-up. Please bring an ID with you so we know we’re handing the clothing to the correct person.

We’ve also ordered a couple extra so if you missed out on the pre-orders and would like to rock some BPK clothing over the holidays, feel free to drop by. We accept cash or cheques made out to “Simon Fraser Student Society.”
