Tuesday January 19th, 2021
The meeting of the BPKSA was called to order at 3:30pm by Ben in the BPK Zoom Virtual Meeting Room. Minimum quorum of 4 executive members reached.

Open Issues:
1) Approval of Previous Minutes
– Klarissa motioned to approve the meeting minutes of 2021-01-12. Galvin seconded.
Minutes approved unanimously
2) Clothing Sales
- – All the boxes of clothing have now arrived
- – Had multiple issues with Staples delivering boxes for shipping (combined with holidayshas led to slow response times)
- – Still trying to work it out to get items sent out ASAP; looking at other options too3) Discover BPK
- – Happening Thursday Feb 4th, starting at 5:30 pm now to account for speaker availability (about 1.5-2 hrs in length)
- – Panel format; possibly two smaller panels (e.g. 4 speakers, about 40-45 minutes each)
- – Starting to get confirmations from speakers
- – Start advertising – Eventbrite has been made, should create posters/graphics for socialmedia
- – Multiple people have confirmed to speako We are still waiting to hear from the medical doctors and kinesiologist (Andy) ▪ If these end up not being able to attend, we should try to select some
backup options.
4) BPKSA Elections
- – SFSS has made a few wording changes for us
- – We are expecting to have elections roughly next week or so. There will be more info onthis to clarify.
5) BPK Research Day
- – Looking for assistance from BPKSA
- – This year’s research day will be held online
- – Historically, BPKSA has provided financial contributions around $100-200
o Historically, this would have gone towards the social event
o This year it may be something like an online social: ie food vouchers. However,
we are not sure yet what the money will be going towards
- – Research day this year is April 9th
- – The BPKSA has decided we are willing to contribute roughly the same amount of money as usual, but we would like to have a clearero Josh will write an email to let the planners of research day know
6) SUS/DSU/SFSS Updates
– SUS online Game night will be held every Thursday
o The BPKSA could collaborate with this if one BPKSA representative )or multiple reps who rotate going) could be present each week
o Anyone who is interested, please email or contact Klarissa
- – SUS is creating a Discord server
- – SUS meeting is happening Feb 23rdo They are encouraging at least 10 people from BPKSA to attend!
o Therewillbeprizesaswell
o They will also be implementing measures to address the student spaces concerns - – There will be discussion about the Pass/Fail implementation that was recently implemented7) Miscellaneous
– Reminder for Nicole and/or Galvin that we want to confirm our current agreement with
the department on student space and storage space
