The meeting of the BPKSA was called to order at 11:30am by Crystal in the BPK Conference Room (K9622). Minimum quorum of 4 executive members reached.

1) Approval of Previous Minutes
- Meghan motioned to approve the meeting minutes of 2017-12-04. Emily P seconded.
- Minutes approved unanimously
2) Careers in BPK
- Wednesday January 24 3:15-8:00pm
- Expecting approximately 100 students to attend
- Lab tours, exhibitors from various colleges and universities, speaker sessions, prizes
- A doodle poll will be sent out this week for volunteers’ availability throughout the day
- Confirmed speakers
- Research: Michelle
- Disability management: Chris
- Medicine: Alex, Dr. Taki, Val
- Physio: Megan, Cassandra, Tallon
- Sonya will get a BPK class schedule to organize classroom presentations
3) Clubs Days
- Tuesday January 16 and Wednesday January 17
- Clothing orders can be picked up and extra clothing will be for sale
- Advertise Careers in BPK lab tours
4) Kin Rep Position
- Elections for this position will be held next week
- Department and UPC meetings every other week
- Email bpksa@sfu.ca if you are interested in running for the position
5) February Social
- Wednesday January 7 is the proposed date
- The largest number of BPKSA members at the meeting are available Wednesday evenings
- Emily B will email SFU Recreation to see if we can reserve the rock climbing wall for the social event
