1) Approval of Previous Minutes
- Riley motioned to approve the meeting minutes of 2018-10-29. Jaskarn seconded. Minutes approved unanimously
2) Careers in BPK
- ASB Atrium is booked for January 23rd but we’re still waiting to hear back from the SFSS about the table layout
- We still need to wait for the table layout of the ASB form the SFSS so we can see how many exhibitors we can have
- It there’s not enough room, we might need to move the event to another location
- Darleen would like a couple people to help out with the event so we can start organizing it early
3) OzTREKK
- they might bring speakers in from Australia that are in the industry, possibly next spring after the careers event and before reading break might be a better time
4) The Princeton Review
- sent us an updated contract to review, we need more details because the outline they sent us isn’t clear on some of the details for execs
5) Bingo & Movie Night
- Wed November 14th at 5pm
- Daryl from BCAK has approved the funding and gave us feedback on the event idea. He liked the bingo icebreaker but not the movie
- Want more advertising for kinesiology, with a movie, you can’t do that
- Bader has emailed Diana about getting a TV in the BPK Student Lounge
- might be a good idea to have a back up room in case the BPK Student Lounge doesn’t work out, we could book an AQ room and a projector through the SFSS
- we would need to submit the booking by tomorrow (5 business days before the event)
- pizza and food – we need to know where we’re hosting it to figure out a head count
- we could start advertising it with location TBH just to get it out there, need BACK on the advertising
6) Cookie Break Event
- BPK Mental Health and Engagement Committee would like to organize a cookie break event on November 26th with the BPKSA and BPKGSA
- Casual social event with undergrad and grad students and profs
- They were wondering if we were interested in helping out
7) Weekly Cookie Break
- BPK Mental Health and Engagement looked into the costs of organizing this and the cost is about $200 per month. They are asking the BPKSA to pitch in $100 per month
- Could include cookies, tea, and coffee for about an hour
- Total it would be about $50/week
- For next semester as a weekly event
