The meeting of the BPKSA was called to order at 11:30pm by Crystal in the BPK Conference Room. Minimum quorum of 4 executive members reached.

Open Issues:
1) Approval of Previous Minutes
- Jaskarn motioned to approve the meeting minutes of 2018-09-24. Daniela seconded. Minutes approved unanimously
BPK Clothing Pre-Orders
- Oct 1st from 10:30am-12pm, Oct 2nd & 3rd from 10:30am-1:30pm at Table J in the AQ
- collect money at pre-orders
- Clothing order information on bpksa.org
- new design ideas for spring clothing sale, we received one submission so far
Ideas to Improve the BPKSA
- The association will try bringing food to our meetings from now on
- Could possibly change the time of the meeting
- Could have social events for BPKSA members, like the retreat in the summer
- Everyone who has been active part of the association for a semester (and currently) will receive a black BPK t-shirt (highly recommended to start wearing these to the meetings)
- Help make the BPKSA members more noticeable at events and classes
- We have just launched our Instagram account, please follow it (and like the posts):

- We are going to suggest a weekly cookie and tea break for students in the lounge from the department
- Possibly every or every other week
- Halloween chocolate for 2 weeks from now
October Social
- Wings Coquitlam at 5:30pm, on Friday Oct 19th
- Will put in a grant for the event
- Will need to put up posters and post on social media for advertising. Also need to email the profs to advertise the event
Careers in BPK
- Wednesday January 23rd
- what careers to have as speakers
- OT and Kintec
- Med and PT
- Possible Neurologist Dr. Sarah Kaiway
- Lab tours – before the event
- Injury prevention lab – could possibly ask if they would like to offer a lab tour
- Saywell vs ASB
- Could also consider Halpern center and lecture halls/tutorial rooms around Images for the speaker portions
Kin Fair
- Around second week of November
- Prefer in ASB rather than Saywell
DSU Meeting
- Want to organize a Pub night at Highland
- Want to see who is interested in contributing to the event along with DSU and SUS
- Molecules and Mustache
- Possibly at Cali Burger – could also be a future social event location for us in the future so that it’s on campus
- MSU
- Are thinking of organizing more trivia nights and a volleyball event
- FROSH
- Went well this year
Motions:
Jaskarn motioned to contribute $30 from core to submit a grant submission for $300 to the SFSS for the Wings social night on October 19th. Emily P seconded it. Motion was passed unanimously.
