Opening
The meeting of the BPKSA was called to order at 1:33pm on Thursday, September 26, 2013 in AQ 4130 by Steven.
In attendance
- Steven M., Sidney, Alex, Lucy, Kirstin, Loryn, Jake, Mohammed, Joyce, Debbie, Avery, Joseph, Navo, Katie Mai from SFSS Outreach (invigilator for elections)
Open Issues
- Reimbursement
- Jake Kemp motioned to reimburse Stevn McGee for $173.78 from the core money for the BPK Orientation food from Costco and pizza for the first meeting and it was unanimously approved.
- Sidney Morison motioned to reimburse Debbie $30.24 from the core funding for stickers for the event handout (Passport) was unanimously approved
- Loryn Bohne motioned to reimburse Sidney Morrison $14.77 from the core funding for thank you cards to the facilities who participated in the event was unanimously approved
- Elections
- Voted by means of secret ballot
- Elected officials are as follows:
- President – Steven McGee
- Vice President – Sidney Morrison
- Treasurer – Mohammed Shakeri
- Secretary – Alex Lukac
- Promotional Coordinator – Debbie Wong
- Departmental Committee Rep (Biomedical Physiology) – Joyce Ching

- First Year Rep – Navo Kaushal & Avery Wong
- Kin week event
- We were given a budget of over $1000
- Date Tuesday, October 22 at 5:30pm
- Speaker: Geoff Desmoulin – SFU BPK alumni & host of Deadliest Warrior
- Dinner, speaker, networking
- January Career Event
- Darleen will investigate into good times that will not interfere with the most classes and hopefully won’t land on the same night as the UBC kin event
