BPK Kickoff

Kickoff

BPK Kickoff will open your eyes to some of the many great opportunities available to BPK students! Stop by if you are interested in learning more about SFU Recreation, SFU Physio, BPK labs or if you’d like to make some new friends!

After registration, we will make our way to the BPK courtyard together and have some food at the Welcome Back BBQ. Food is by donation (two toonies for Terry Fox!). There will also be a bingo game here which will get you familiar with some of the professors in BPK and the winner will get a prize!

After that we will play some icebreaker games so that you can meet some of your fellow students and friends that you will be spending the next 4-5 years of your life with! Next we will move on to the the tours.

2:00– 2:10 Commute to the KIN Building for lab tours (CV Lab & Neuromuscular Mechanics)

BPK 101

Hey BPKers!

BPK 101 is being held on Friday September 9th and is open to all first year and transfer BPK students! This is a great way get yourself oriented with the Burnaby Mountain campus, learn about some of the career options available to you, make some friends, get free BPK swag, and more!

The two speakers are:

Brent Flodin (Teaching Assistant) – Brent has lots of great tips to share with you about BPK and will be a great resource in your first year.
Diana Bedoya (Lecturer) – Diana teaches classes such as BPK 140, 110, and 326. Diana has a passion for health and wellness and hopes that you will too.

The schedule is as follows:
2:15-2:30 pm: Registration (BPK Seminar Room, K9264)
2:30-2:35 pm: Migrate for Scavenger Hunt
2:35-3:25 pm: Scavenger Hunt
3:25-3:30 pm: Migrate for Career Development Workshop
3:30-4:00 pm: Career Development Workshop (AQ 3149)
4:00-4:05 pm: Migrate for Speaker Series (AQ 3149)
4:05-4:30 pm: Speaker Series
4:30 pm: Wrap-up + Swag Bags
